About the Audition
Unveiling the Abstract is an innovative artistic project that merges contemporary dance, surrealism, visual arts, and the nude to create a transformative experience for performers and audiences alike.
Guided by the teachings of Marcus Aurelius, particularly his reflections on self-discovery and living in the moment—“The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts”—the production explores profound themes of human existence and transformation. It also draws inspiration from Salvador Dalí’s surrealism and the evocative, dark imagery of Francisco Goya’s Saturn Devours His Son.
Through contemporary dance and immersive visual storytelling, dancers will embody a narrative of introspection, change, and the complex interplay between thought and emotion.
This is a paid opportunity to collaborate with acclaimed choreographer Saeed Hani, whose work is steadily gaining recognition. In addition to his work as a choreographer, he has also taken on the role of festival director, launching the first-ever edition of the Movement Art Festival in Luxembourg.
Unveiling the Abstract marks his seventh production and involves extensive rehearsal and performance dates. If you are a passionate and creative dancer ready to embark on a journey of artistic exploration, this is your chance to contribute to a production that redefines the boundaries of contemporary dance.

Requirements:
Saeed Hani is seeking dancers based in Europe with a background in classical and contemporary dance, strong technique, and solid performance and improvisation skills. Dancers must be comfortable with creative tasks and nudity, as both are integral to the artistic processes of the Hani Dance Company.
